About Me: Jen

I am a self-diagnosed crystal-aholic with ADOC (Attention Deficit OH CRYSTALS). I have always collected crystals for as long as I can remember. I still have my crystals that I collected as a young girl from various vacations. My first crystal, a raw Rose Quartz, found me at a garage sale when I was about in the 2nd or 3rd grade. I still have it over 30 years later. *smile* In 1998 is when I really started to collect crystals and study their metaphysical properties for healing. I was determined to have "at least one of every crystal" and even though it is a crazy, unrealistic dream I am still working towards that goal. I absolutely love sharing my collection with all of you. Perhaps I can even introduce you to a few that you have not heard of before.

I started my Etsy shop in 2010 with crystal healing intention jewelry. You can now find more in my official online shop Stitches and Stones KC. My online shops have morphed and changed over the years. I have started focusing more on unusual crystals that you can't find just everywhere. I absolutely love being able to hand pick crystals for people that I feel resonate with their energy. Eventually I'd love to get back to making intention bracelets again as well. I love being able to make beautiful jewelry that serves a purpose. Everything that I do I do it with heart. And that is the biggest blessing that I can share it all with you!

August 2009, I started my journey as an energy healer with my first attunement to Usui Royo Reiki from a local Reiki Master. I have always known, even as a little girl, that I was meant to be a healer. Although my passion has always been to help heal the emotions. I grew up, especially as a teenager, being a "psychiatrist" to my friends.

In the Spring of 2011 I became interested in working with Oracle and Tarot cards. Although they are a lot of fun, they aren't quite me. That is when I stumbled upon reading crystals like you would read Oracle cards. Now this clicked! I have always believed that the crystals a person likes will tell you about them, so this new-to-me form of divination became a perfect fit. As a result I have accumulated quite a collection. Since it is more of a hobby of mine I felt the best way I could share that aspect with you is by creating deck reviews and flip throughs. So many reviews just show the cards but I personally want to see the guidebooks as well. That is exactly what I plan on sharing with you.

On a personal side of things, I am married to the most wonderful man who supports me with everything I do. I am a stay-at-home mom for our 2 boys. Both are adults now. Time certainly flies! They were both in school when I started this website in 2012. I am also a fur mom. As of when I am typing this (June 2024) I have a 18 year old Lhasp BichPoo named Paige. I also have 5 cats! They are Crystal (gray tabby), Freya (black), Eevee (gray tabby), Merlin (black), and Apollo (orange tabby). I also love to feed the strays/feral cats that come by to visit. That's how I found Apollo! You can definitely say that I'm a crazy cat lady. In fact my favorite things start with "C": Crystals, Cats, Cards, Chocolate, and Coffee! lol
