The following article was written by Jane Kathryn from Jane’s Crystal Garden on Facebook. She goes into how crystal grids work and an in depth explanation of why these specific crystals were used in her example grid.
Crystals for gridding can be bought from Jane Kathryn at Jane’s Crystal Garden or from Jen at Crystal Guidance (on Etsy). The grid cloth shown in the photo below was purchased from the Etsy shop: Stitches and Stones KC
Jane’s grid for blessings for the New Year.
Grids consist of crystals placed in concise, geometric shapes in order to affect the flow of energy for a specific purpose. Basically, a crystal grid is a special arrangement of healing stones, used with intention, to manifest a desired result. The properties of the stones used, combined with their arrangement in a sacred geometric configuration, of which there are different kinds of patterns, creates a unique energy frequency that can be used to enhance your intention and ability to manifest.
Using crystal grids is very powerful as it combines the energy of the stone with Sacred Geometry (the language of the Universe). In this way, the crystal energy is enhanced exponentially because your intention is being amplified through the stones and then sent out to the Universe in a clear and direct way through the sacred geometric formations. There are templates in certain patterns that can be used, or you can use your intuition, or even play with placement. Have fun with them.
Once the Grid is created it must be activated. No matter what shape you use, activate the grid in the same way. Join up all the crystals in the pattern you laid, using your finger, a special crystal, or a wand. Do it 3 or 9 times, concentrating on bringing energy in from above and below, and putting the energy toward whatever purpose you built the grid.
As we know different crystals are known for specific purposes, but they don’t necessarily have the same purpose for each individual. Grounding crystals as an example: some swear by their Black Tourmaline, others by their Smoky Quartz, some by Jet, I prefer Granite or Amazonite. What works for you may not necessarily work for others. However there are some stones that are pretty consistent in their use. I tried to stick with those in my creation of the Grid you see here. Whenever you make a grid, you want to have an intention in mind so you know how to create it. Be sure the crystals have been cleansed. (See the Crystal Cleansing Methods article on Crystal Guidance.)
For this Grid, my intention is Blessings for the New Year. I will accept the love, hope, relief from emotional stress, abundance, and ability to communicate well the Universe has to offer me. And so it is. I have a healing wand and a prosperity wand I use to activate when appropriate, otherwise I use a Quartz generator.
I chose the Flower of Life pattern for this grid. I used a Star Rose Quartz sphere as the centerpiece. The centerpiece is the anchor of the Grid. I usually use a sphere or a large generator point for the centerpiece as I like how that looks. However, spheres are a special formation and are good anchors. Unlike the focused energy of a wand or egg shaped crystal, a ball emits energy in all directions equally. These make a useful tool to perceive a complete picture (of self or situations) – moving energy around and through the entire environment. The size or type of formation is not really relevant, as long as you are using the crystal that serves its purpose for the main focus of your grid.
The star you see in the Sphere is from Rutile inclusions. Rutile is a crystal with incredible positivity and strength and grows in straight lines through almost anything. Rose Quartz is the Love stone. The rutile in this crystal makes this particular type of Rose Quartz the ultimate emotional healer! For myself, I am looking for my soul mate, or at least someone to make me happy for a while, is a nice guy, and treats me well.
Surrounding the sphere is white Moonstone. It brings hope, enhances feminine energies, sensitivity, intuition, and psychic abilities. It is also said to bring strong energies of abundance to one’s life. Moonstone is a stone of protection, especially during childbirth, pregnancy, and travel at sea. It is a stone of calm and relief from emotional stress. For me personally, I love it’s emphasis on it’s connection with the Goddess, and the calm relief from emotional stress. I also can use all the abundance I can get.
Next is more Rose Quartz followed by Blue Lace Agate. This is a calming, uplifting stone. The blue color strengthens the function of the throat chakra and encourages peace. It can be used wherever there is a build up of painful or irritated energy. I need to speak up more for myself, say no more often and put myself first every once in a while. This stone will help me to do that. I also have an ex-husband I co-parent with. This stone can help me in communication with him which hopefully will be in a calm, peaceful manner.
Then I’ve alternated Citrine and Sunstone surrounding the other stones. Citrine is known mainly for success, abundance, and personal power. it is a joyful stone with bright energy which lights up many aspects of lives of those who work with it. As I mentioned I could use all the abundance I can get, but it is a sunshiny stone, and a very popular one to use in Prosperity or Chakra grids.
Sunstone is a powerful aid to bring joy and other positive feelings into your life. They have a strong solar energy, and they embody within them the warmth, strength, and openness of the sun. As they awaken cosmic consciousness, this makes them strong stones for the more challenging times we are living in. I have depression issues so positive feelings is a good thing, and I need the sun so having solar energy around me is good.
In each corner is a Quartz point and in the middle of each point is a small Quartz sphere. Clear Quartz is used to amplify the energies of the crystals and the grid itself.
I hope you enjoyed this grid. We have a sister group, Crystal Grid Makers. In that group you will find a tutorial on how to create grids, written by Jenn Smull who is an Admin for that group. It is very helpful and the group is a great place to learn. There are pros and beginners.
